The culmination of the Kelso Civic Week is the fancy dress parade held on the final Saturday of the week.Kelso Civic Week is held annually during the third week of July.

There are many sporting and leisure activities in the Kelso area. The Jim Clark Rally being an annual event with approximately 10 – 15 stages centered around Kelso. Close by in Galashiels the Borders Professional Rugby Team play their home games and there are numerous other Premier and National League rugby teams in Kelso and the surrounding towns. Kelso also has its very own Horse Racing track and 2x 18 Hole golf courses.
